CFC Strategies Launches New Website on 1st Anniversary SRW & Associates affiliate celebrates one year anniversary in Knoxville  Knoxville, Tenn – May 28, 2013 – CFC Strategies, LLC, an affiliate of SRW & Associates, celebrated its first year in business today with the launch of a new website, www.cfcstrategies.com.  Clayton Crownover founded CFC Strategies in 2012 as an affiliate of SRW & Associates after a near decade in the public policy and political field. “Clay has a been a terrific addition to SRW & Associates, said Susan Williams. “He has really complemented our group due to his strong experience in energy efficiency and issue advocacy.  He has also gotten very involved in the community.  We made the right choice when we asked Clay to join SRW.” Crownover came to become an affiliate of SRW & Associates after returning from to Knoxville from Washington, D.C., where he worked on Capitol Hill, most notably for Senators Edward M. Kennedy and Jay Rockefeller IV. He also spent time with the Democratic National Committee, and working on behalf of energy efficiency issues for two nonprofit energy organizations. Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance to become standalone entity

Some pretty big news out of Washington, D.C. was made at the Alliance to Save Energy’s yearly Great Energy Efficiency Day event with the announcement that the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance is going to be “graduating” into a standalone entity in 2014. In January 2007, Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA) was incorporated in the state of Georgia as a 501(c)(3) to promote effective, intelligent, and balanced energy efficiency programs and policy across the region, but until this point had been a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Alliance to Save Energy. WWII author Rick Atkinson to speak at Bijou May 19

By Fred Brown Knoxville.com For 14 years nationally acclaimed author Rick Atkinson chased the ghosts of World War II across the remnants of ruined battlefields, traveling thousands of miles on land, crossing and re-crossing oceans in search of the story of America in its finest hours. Atkinson, the former Washington Post journalist and three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning writer and military historian, combed through mountains of military data and history and tromped the fields of historical battlegrounds to complete his epic Liberation Trilogy — the story of World War II in three volumes: “An Army at Dawn,” “Day of Battle,” and the just-released “The Guns at Last Light.” Atkinson will be in Knoxville Sunday, May 19, for a presentation and book signing at the Bijou Theatre, just four days after the book hits stores nationwide.The last volume, “The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, 1944-1945,” (Henry Holt) completes Atkinson’s trilogy, which totals almost 3,000 pages.
