Erin Leaverton’s work spans international and domestic media and government relations, strategic marketing, crisis communications and event planning.
Her experience working with two U.S. Congressmen and clients such as Knoxville Tourism & Sports Corporation, Travelocity, W Hotel Dallas, Bliss Spa, and many others, has provided her with the know-how to reach specific, target audiences through thoughtful media relations planning and execution.
Prior to joining SRW & Associates, Erin worked as an Account Executive with Vollmer Public Relations in Dallas, Texas. She’s also worked as the External Communications Director with GE Oil & Gas in Florence, Italy, and provided marketing expertise for Salvatore Ferragamo’s Windows on Tuscany Prestigious Rentals, and as a freelance journalist for three publications in Italy and in the US.
During her time in Europe, Erin had the opportunity to work with women who were victims of human trafficking. She also served on the advisory panel for the International Justice Mission Institute in Washington, D.C., which combats human trafficking in the US and worldwide. Today, Erin continues this work as the public relations specialist for Hope Unlimited for Children, an organization that rescues street children in Brazil. To learn more, visit www.hopeunlimited.org.
Erin grew up in Canyon, Texas and received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Baylor University. She moved to East Tennessee after marrying husband, David Leaverton, former punter for the University of Tennessee who currently serves as US Senator Bob Corker’s Field Representative in East Tennessee. In her free time, Erin enjoys cooking, taking long walks with David and their golden retriever Bailey, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, gardening and traveling to new places.
